Meeting called to order by Gary Fish at 7:32 pm.

We reviewed the recent resignations of Chad Boekes, Ken Bonitz, and Bob Lorenz and the urgent need for a treasurer, vice president, and 3 board members. In addition, Gary Fish reviewed the agenda.

Covenant Issues:

Chain Link Fences: There are 2 chain link fences that we have noticed. We reviewed the exact wording of the Covenants and the Design Review Guidelines. As we understand the covenants, all fences must be approved by the Design Review Committee. In addition, the fence must be of non-reflective material. If not, it must be hidden from the road. One option brought up by Joe McCormick was painting the fence green or brown.

Entranceway Posts: There are 2 entranceway posts that are closer than 25 feet to the road, both on Roaming. Neither were approved by the DRC. One has been erected for a long time. The other is not finished yet. The approach that was taken with the one for a while was the President of the Board. The resolution was that the homeowner was told that if anything happens to the pillars, they would have to remove them. A few members of the community stated that we need to enforce the covenants, even though it is a tough thing to do. We decided to go to the homeowner that the pillars are 25 feet from the road, their's are in violation, and they will have to be removed.

Trash Cans: Gary proposed that we make a rule and recommendation of how long trash cans can be by the curbside. Also, he suggested we make a recommendation or guideline about trash cans being out of sight. One recommendation was to suggest that people remove the trash can, preferably the day of pick up. Gary motioned that we state that trash cans shouldn't be visible from the street and that when taken out they should be taken out no longer than 24 hours and removed, preferably the same day. Shari seconded the motion and all were in favor.

Riding lawn mowers and small trailers: Gary summarized that riding lawn mowers and small trailers are clearly spelled out in the Covenants. Gary is going to wait a few more weeks before he confronts the houses in violation.

Trailers: Jim found out that it costs $26 - $30 a month to store a trailer. Gary said that it is frustrating to have to revisit a covenant violation. Gary suggested that after the third violation submission, he would like to request to the homeowner permanently remove or stow the trailer. Joe McCormick said that we spend years trying to enforce this approach. There was lots of discussion, and we finally decided this was clearly spelled out in the Covenants. We need to handle these covenant violations in the same manner as all of the other covenant violations and in a consistent manner.

Newspaper T-Posts: The Covenants nor the DRG spell out anything about these. Most present do not like them. We will address it the next time we revise the guidelines.

New Business: Steve Gannon said that there is a stop sign down at Wissler and Wavy Oak. Also, there is one down at Still Glen and Twisted Pine. Kathleen McCormick will contact the county to have these replaced.

Also, Steve asked questions about the maintenance of the front entrances. These are not well-maintained. Gary moved that we authorize a contract up to $500 to maintain the entranceways. We decided that this was a far inadequate amount for flowers, chemicals, and mowing. Kathleen suggested that we at least mow and remove weeds. Gary motioned that we allow up to $500 for the maintenance of the entry ways - no flowers, just mowing and weeding. Jim seconded and all were in favor.

Marne brought up the Filho's and asked Gary if anything has been done regarding their numerous covenant violations. Gary said it is on his to-do list. He asked Marne to help with covennats. She replied that after she gets off the board, she will have more time to help with covenants.

Gary motioned to adjourn at 9:10 pm.

Finally, Marne mentioned that Bill Fischer wants to help with Fire Protection Zoning. Also, John Andrews expressed interest in being on the board but he did not show up for the meeting.
