Wissler Ranch HOA Board Meeting

The November Board meeting was held at Nancy Shanley's home on Nov. 15, 2001. It was called to order at 7:13 PM. In attendance were: Pete Popp, Kathleen McCormick, Dan Rogers, Marne Trujillo, Patti Morgan and Nancy Shanley.
The new board members are: Kevin Light, Dan Rogers and Marne Trujillo.
It was agreed that we need an updated board list - which Nancy will get to everyone. This will include e-mail and phone numbers.
We decided that we would meet every other month in 2002 if everyone would give the meeting high priority and commit to attend, barring any crisis. Marne wanted to make sure that the board would be reminded in a timely fashion.
Dan Rogers will help Gene with the covenants.
Kevin Light will take over landscaping.
There was discussion about handing out welcome baskets. Ultimately, most of us agreed that it was good for the community and good PR for the HOA. Under discussion was the amount of money we felt comfortable spending per basket. Pete proposed $12/basket. Kathleen seconded it. The motion passed with one opposition.
There was an extended discussion about water meters that can be read from outside. The discussion included the fact that the covenant requires them and that there is a need for those who do not have them to install them quickly. Eventually we agreed that March 1 would be the deadline. Kathleen and Pete suggested that we need to have them installed earlier, but Nancy and Marne said that with the holidays looming that we did not feel that was practical. A letter needs to go to homeowners telling them what is required and when it is required. Nancy suggested that we provide homeowners information about how or who could help them get the meter installed.
El Paso mix was either already put onto the commons area or will be spread onto the commons area (I do not remember).
Patti Morgan is interested in looking at changing some of the covenants and would spearhead the effort.
Some things to look into in January:
Assign President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer
Assigning Design Review Committee the task of sending the title letter (Dan Rogers offered to help with the title letters.
